MEET YOUR TRAINER
Hello! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Deborah Freeman, and I am your Klickerdog Dog Trainer. I have over twenty years of experience training dogs, most of which comes from working as a shelter dog trainer.
I prioritize staying informed on modern, humane, science-based training methods. Following the core values and code of ethics provided by the IAABC, I train following the LIMA protocols of least invasive, minimally aversive methods. In simple terms, I do not train with choke, prong, or electronic devices. I do train with reinforcers like food and play. I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of shelter dogs. Many had behavioral issues, and all needed to find a home. Many of these dogs had already experienced and failed with aversive training methods. Solid knowledge of canine behavior is critical if you truly want to understand and communicate with your pet.
I am here to bridge that gap for you.
As a private trainer, I also enjoy helping people and their pets. I enjoy the luxury of giving my undivided attention to a client and their specific dog-related issues. My goal is to help people keep the family dog part of the family.
